Pet Mod Poketypos (Sinistcha Slate)

approved by Pet Mods Mods
A NatDex micrometa similar to Abilitypos; where instead of changing an Ability’s name, and subsequently its effect, we alter the names of Pokémon and change said Pokémon to fit their new name. I thought this could be pretty interesting considering how we have just had this kind of idea explored a bit in SV, with the Wiglett and Toedscool lines.
Notes regarding these type of Pokemon:
- Although the Wiglett and Toedscool lines have the same stat spread as their original forms, you are allowed to change stats here in order to differentiate the forms a bit more, but the original BST should remain the same.
- Aside from the name, the typing, abilities, weight, height (although this isn't as relevant), weight, movepool, and Pokedex entry differ from their original forms.
- They are generally based on a different animal / object than the Pokémon they are based on, however, they resemble it in design.

Slate Guideline:
  1. Council will choose a set of 3 prompts for submitters. Submitters will change the Pokemon’s name around to have a different meaning, while still being logical in context (For example, Slowbro to Snowbro) when compared to the original. We recommend changing at most half of the name.
  2. Using the new name, submitters will then alter their chosen Pokemon by adjusting its stats, typing, moveset, and abilities to fit with the new name. However, the total BST should equal that of the original Pokemon - as stated before. (For example, I could change Slowbro’s typing from Water/Psychic to Ice/Ground, while giving it Snow Warning and making it faster to make more logical sense as Snowbro). You can submit a full line if you would like, but the final stage is the only one that is necessary. Custom elements such as new abilities and moves are also allowed here, however you must choose the base mon, not any extra forms unless specified otherwise. Please do not base your new Pokemon name on Pokemon that already exist (ex: rhyperior --> serperior).
(bold = neccessary; bold italic = optional)
Original Pokemon:
New Pokemon:
Movepool Changes

Flavor / Explanation:
Competitive Role:

Original Pokemon: Slowbro
New Pokemon: Snowbro
Type: Ice / Ground
Abilities: Oblivious / Snow Warning / Regenerator
Stats: 65 / 65 / 100 / 100 / 80 / 80 {BST: 490}
Weight: 37.1 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Earth Power, Stealth Rock, Spikes
  • - Psychic, Psyshock, Future Sight, Hydro Pump, Surf, Waterfall

Height: 4'11
Flavor / Explanation: Name change to justify the new Ice-typing, the shell on its tail is a Cetoddle instead of a Shellder, has a more snowy and glossy look compared to normal Slowbro
(you can also submit art or Pokedex entries here too)
Competitive Role: Offensive Ice-type with some defensive utility

Voting Guideline
  1. Council will review subs and veto ones which are considered to be problematic, and allow you to adjust them according to are feedback within a time frame.
  2. You will then be able to vote (the current voting template is being discussed at the moment), and the highest voted submission for each category shall win!
Voting Rules
You can vote for as many subs as you’d like in each category. In each category, your first vote is worth 3 points, your second is worth 2 points, and every vote after that is worth 1 point. For self voting, you can put ONE of your subs in second place, which will earn 2 points, and if you put it in the third or later places, it will earn 1 point. When choosing votes for each category, you will enter the name of the Pokemon submitted in order to vote for their sub.
For example:
In one category, I could vote like this:
3, 2(sv), 1, 1, 1
and in another category, like this:
3, 2, 1(sv), 1, 1, 1
These numbers represent the amount of points each vote will earn.

Tiebreaks will be decided by council vote.

:bw/venusaur: :bw/charizard: :bw/blastoise:

Your prompts are:
1) Grass-type starter Pokémon
2) Fire-type starter Pokémon
3) Water-type starter Pokémon
Keep in mind that these Pokemon do not have to keep any of their original typings (although they can if you choose), their new type should be based around their new name!
We will give a 24 hour warning before subs end. Have fun!

Original Pokemon: Meganium
New Pokemon: Sluganium - The Garden Slug Pokemon

Abilities: Liquid Ooze / Storm Drain [HA]
Stats: 80 / 82 / 100 / 83 / 100 / 80 [525 BST]
Weight: 221.6 lbs or 100.5 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Acid, Acid Armor, Clear Smog, Gastro Acid, Poison Jab, Poison Tail, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Venoshock, Charm, Crafty Shield, Dazzling Gleam, Draining Kiss, Fairy Wind, Moonblast, Play Rough, Recover, Aqua Ring, Water Gun, Water Pulse, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance (22 total)
- All Grass Moves, Poison Powder, Sunny Day (23 total)
Height: 5'11'' or 1.8 m
Flavor / Explanation: Goopy Meganium. They look like a Meganium laying on its belly. Despite looking like a plant itself, Sluganium’s diet consists of plants as well. Pokémon such as Butterfree and Beautifly are also in for a rude awakening should they mistake Sluganium’s frills for a Meganium’s Flower.

Dex 1: “The frills along its neck gather water to keep its gelatinous body hydrated. Butterfree often confuse these frills for flowers.”
Dex 2: “Its body grows when exposed to water. As a result, it’s easily mistaken for being a grass type.”

Evolution Line: Chikoripod -> Baylimax -> Sluganium

Competitive Role: Defensive Pivot with Storm Drain capabilities, similar to Gastrodon. Poison/Fairy/Water coverage for special sets.

Original Pokémon: Chesnaught
New Pokémon: Dreadnaut The Dreadful Armor Pokémon
Type: Ghost/Steel
Abilities: Heavy Metal | Cursed Body
Stats: 85 HP / 85 Atk / 124 Def / 101 SpA / 60 SpD / 75 Spe / 530 BST
Weight: 100 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Aura Sphere, Astonish, Beat Up, Bitter Malice, Calm Mind, Confuse Ray, Counter, Dark Pulse, Disable, Eerie Impulse, Flash Cannon, Foul Play, Haze, Heavy Slam, Hex, Hypnosis, Icy Wind, Imprison, Mean Look, Memento, Metal Burst, Metal Claw, Metal Sound, Night Shade, Pain Split, Poltergeist, Shadow Ball, Shadow Punch, Shadow Sneak, Spite, Taunt, Torment, Will-o-Wisp
- Confide, Dig, Dragon Claw, Facade, Feint, Frenzy Plant, Grass Knot, Grass Pledge, Gyro Ball, Leech Seed, Low Kick, Low Sweep, Mud Shot, Nature Power, Pin Missile, Poison Jab, Rock Slide, Rollout, Secret Power, Seed Bomb, Sludge Bomb, Solar Beam, Stomping Tantrum, Stone Edge, Sunny Day, Synthesis, Thunder Punch, Vine Whip, Wood Hammer, Worry Seed
Height: 1.8 m
Flavor / Explanation:
The spirit of a fallen warrior haunts the armor, though not the complete set, they wore during war, their forms resembling a beast. While it isn't related to Chesnaught, the armor definitely had inspiration from them.
Ghosts haunting inanimate objects part 1380239. The spikes on its back would be much shorter, and its body is more of a wispy, translucent form.
Competitive Role: A defensive unit that can go either physical or special set up. It also has the option to be a Spikes stacker and Will-O-Wisp spreader, though lack of recovery besides Pain Split holds it down along with its 60 special defense.

Original Pokémon: Cinderace
New Pokémon: Monilarace The Succulent Pokémon
Type: Grass/Electric
Abilities: Lightning Rod | Infiltrator
Stats: 80 HP / 65 Atk / 75 Def / 116 SpA / 75 SpD / 119 Spe / 530 BST
Weight: 20 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Trop Kick, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Volt Switch, Thunder Wave, Leech Seed, Absorb, Bullet Seed, Worry Seed, Grass Knot, Grass Pledge, Spark, Nuzzle, Discharge, Nasty Plot
- All Fire moves except Sunny Day, All Fighting moves except for Low Kick and High Jump Kick, Court Change, U-Turn
Height: 0.7 m
Flavor / Explanation:
It runs around in high speeds, spreading seeds that will grow into Folibunnies (Scorbunny). They may resemble Cinderace, but they're not related at all.
Based on those bunny succulents, I thought it'd be cute if they were Electric. Smaller than Cinderace with its fur having a more nature colour to it probably?
Competitive Role: Fast attacker that can deal with Ground types. Mainly only has Grass, Electric and Ghost as coverage though.

Original Pokémon: Feraligatr
New Pokémon: Feralmodo
Type: Poison
Abilities: Poison Touch | Corrosive
Stats: 110 HP / 80 Atk / 85 Def / 70 SpA / 100 SpD / 85 Spe / 530 BST
Weight: 80 kg
Movepool Changes:
+ Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Acid Armor, Acid Spray, Belch, Gastro Acid, Poison Tail, Poison Fang, Slack Off, Toxic Spikes
- Avalanche, Blizzard, Hail, Ice Beam, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Aerial Ace, Agility, Hydro Cannon, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Water Pledge, Fake Tears
Height: 2.5 m
Flavor / Explanation:
Feralmodo's bite can secrete powerful venom that's able to subdue their prey in a few hours. People mistake them as a strangely colored Feraligatr.
Beeg poisonous komodo dragon. Its body is a shade of grey and thin, long tongue sticks out of mouth.
Competitve Role: A Toxic spreader with Slack Off. Nothing too outstanding here.

New Pokemon: Grillazoom(Gorilla+Grill+Zoom)
Type: Fire/Ground
Abilities: Blaze (Flash Fire)

Weight: 93 kg
Movepool Changes:-All Grass moves, Swords Dance, Bulk Up +Fire Punch, Flare Blitz, Fire Fang, Ember, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Overheat, Dig, High Horsepower, Scorching Sands, Rock Slide

Flavor / Explanation
: It’s a gorilla that zooms and has a small grill. It can quickly put the grill on its back and zoooooom(it’s quadruped). Its plant mane thing and the wristbands are coal that it can set on fire. The drumsticks are a spatula and tongs, for making sure it’s grilling is perfect.
Dex Entry 1: Grillazoom is fiercely protective of its grill. If the grill is stolen, it has a sixth sense that allows it to track down the grill and run towards it at blinding speeds.

Dex Entry 2: Grillazoom is a master of the grill. It uses its tongs and spatula to cook various berries to perfection.
Competitive Role: A fast attacker that can run a Band set. It has Flash Fire which can be very helpful for switching in, and Knock Off can rid switch-ins of their items and U-Turn is U-Turn.

Original Pokemon: Charizard
New Pokemon: Cherodard
Type: Rock/Dragon
Abilities: Earth Eater/Rough Skin/(Mold Breaker)
Stats: 78/119/106/66/73/92 (534 BST)
Weight: 127,5kgs
Movepool Changes: Just assume I'm removing every move and then picking everything manually
Viable Moves: Crunch, Dragon Dance, Earthquake, Focus Punch, Glaive Rush, Gravity, Icicle Crash, Iron Head, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, Waterfall, All Universal TMs
Flavor Moves: Aerial Ace, Ancient Power, Bite, Body Slam, Breaking Swipe, Brick Break, Bulldoze, Crush Claw, Dig, Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail, Dual Chop, Earth Power, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Iron Tail, Leer, Metal Claw, Outrage, Power Gem, Roar, Rock Blast, Rock Climb, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Rock Smash, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm, Scratch, Seismic Toss, Shadow Claw, Slash, Stomping Tantrum, Strength, Wide Guard, X-Scissor

Height: 2.1m
Flavor / Explanation: A rocky dragon that has carved its body by training under a waterfall. While it looks like Charizard, it isn't related to it. Its antlers located further upon its back for protection have stalactites and stalagmites hanging from them and look like wings, but are incapable of moving indepentendly of the body. Cherodard is a feared predator in its home country and finds itself very confused when visiting other regions as people act very friendly to it.
Competitive Role: Trying to not undershoot the powerlevel here, Cherodard is a strong offensive threat with the proper coverage to hit types that resist its stabs like Earthquake to hit Steels and Iron Head to hit fairies. Earth Eater makes it a Rock type that doesn't fear Grounds, making them setup fodder instead as Dragon Dance and Swords Dance can help it sweep or blow massive holes through teams. It also has more niche coverage options like Icicle Crash or Waterfall and can work as a decent offensive Stealth Rocker. The big thing weighing Cherodard down is its defensive typing which leaves it with common weaknesses to Ground, Fighting, Fairy and Ice making it more difficult to get on the field and setup. It's also already weak to common priority like Mach Punch or Bullet Punch and when combined with Glaive Rush, it can become very easy to Revenge-kill. It's still a fearsome offensive threat that we can build defensive mons around if it is introduced early.

Might add more later

  • Persistent: When used, Gravity/Heal Block/Safeguard/Tailwind/Room effects last 2 more turns.
Height: 1.2m (4'1")
Flavor/Explanation: Was inspired by a fusion website for this one, Torterra but the large tree on it's back is turned into 2.5-D polygons, while the face is still of that turtle. Color scheme shifts to Greyscale with blue on the face and some polygons. Pre-Evos are Turtweb & Tortle
Entry 1: It's believed Torrentra was first found in computers that had been hacked, otherwise the pokemon's origins are a mystery
Entry 2: Torrentra can shift it's size to enter and exit through any screen, once it's inside, it will generally stay microscopic.

Original Pokemon: Serperior
New Pokemon: Swimperior
Typing: Water/Poison
Abilities: Water Veil/Liquid Ooze
Stats: 65/103/75/85/86/114

Removed moves: All grass type moves
Added moves: Liquidation, Waterfall, Wave Crash, Hydro Pump, Surf, Chilling Water, Scald, Gunk Shot, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Ice Beam, Ice Spinner.

Role: Swimperior acts as a Set Up Sweeper, with Coil as the main way to buff it's physical side and Accuracy, which allows Swimperior to abuse Gunk Shot. It can also do speed control with Glare, helping it's team.

Flavor: This lizard Pokemon holds a slight resemblance to another Pokemon, Serperior. However, these two creatures aren't closely related, but evolved a similar bodyplan due to environmental pressure.

Abilities: Water Veil / Water Bubble
Stats: 75 / 65 / 95 / 65 / 95 / 133 [BST: 528]

Movepool Changes:

- All grass moves, Sunny Day, Toxic
Flavor / Explanation: Some sort of water snake. Its body is covered with bubbles which make a shape similar to a bathrobe.
Competitive Role: Either a strong pivot or a coil/cm sweeper immune to burn. As long as you have something to deal with water stabs this shouldn't be too big a deal since its offensive stats without water bubble are kinda pitiful.

EDIT: line names would be Slipvy > Servwet > Soaperior

Height: 1.7 m (5′07″)
Flavor / Explanation: Long ago, in the eternal war between Dialga and Palkia, the Sinnoh region was trampled by their destruction. Despite the best efforts of all the trainers in the land, the battles waged on for centuries and in result lives were lost, many of which were said to be Empoleon as they believed it was their duty to stop the wrathful gods. One fateful night, a strange phenomenon occurred and the souls of the perished Empoleon produced immense grudge upon the world, leading up to the revival of Spectoleon, also known as The Vengeful Pokémon. Spectoleon is said to have a physique similar to Empoleon, however, it has amorphous-like qualities and a distinct black shade unlike its living counterpart. Not many have encountered Spectoleon, but those who have report feelings of dread and despair, so potent its almost visibly seeping off Spectoleon's body. Very little is known about Spectoleon apart from its desire of vengeance and that it is extremely hostile.
Competitive Role: Spectoleon can potentially be a very powerful Stallbreaker due to its really good defensive stats and access to Calm Mind. Ghost and Fighting have amazing synergy and they are nearly unresisted. It's stats and moveset allow it to fill both a physical and special attacking role as well as boosting moves for both stats. Spectoleon has excellent utility in Will-O-Wisp, Encore, Taunt, Stealth Rock, Toxic, and Defog which it can use quite well due to the bulk. It's not overly overpowered since it has reasonable abilities and little coverage

Flavor/Explanation: It’s not still a monkey, it’s just a plant that looks a lot like one in case it’s spores didn’t deter predators enough. Also I’ve done my research, and it turns out certain ferns release spores, hence the numerous fungi-based moves and abilities. (Chimfern —> Monfern —> Fernape)

Original Pokemon: Decidueye
New Pokemon: Dacidueye (Acid + Decidueye)
Type: Poison / Dark
Abilities: Sticky Hold / Infiltrator
Stats: 78 / 107 / 75 / 100 / 85 / 85 {BST: 530}
Weight: 34.7 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Assurance, Dark Pulse, Foul Play, Payback, Snatch, Taunt, Thief, Acid, Acid Spray, Gunk Shot, Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Toxic, Toxic Spikes
  • - All Grass moves, Shadow Claw, Spirit Shackle, Hex, Spite, Phantom Force
Height: 4’10
Flavor / Explanation: Based on bats, possibly a somewhat Batman-esque design to resemble base Decidueye, coevolving from a land mammal to a bird-like bat Pokemon. Prevos are Bawlet and Dartrox (Both are Poison / Flying), classified as the Reaper Pokemon. “Hiding in the dark of night, this Pokemon shoots out toxic arrows into its prey before draining them of their energy.”
Competitive Role: Setup sweeper or choice option due to the large movepool and solid typing, which also allows it to pose a good amount of defensive utility as well, kind of like a Toxicroak-esque mon.

Original Pokemon: Charizard
New Pokemon: Czarizard (Czar + Charizard)
Type: Ground / Psychic
Abilities: Sand Spit / Rivalry
Stats: 78 / 109 / 90 / 79 / 78 / 100 {BST: 534}
Weight: 100.4 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Earth Power, Sand Tomb, Sandstorm, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Zen Headbutt, Psychic Fangs
  • - All Fire Moves, All Flying Moves
Height: 5’11
Flavor / Explanation: Based on the Gila monster, prevos are Czarmander and Czarmeleon (both are pure Ground). Classified as the Pharaoh Pokemon. “Often considered the king of the desert, this Pokemon has evolved to be able to brawl with anyone who dares to stand in its way.”
Competitive Role: Your classic setup sweeper, but takes advantage of nearly every setup option in Zard’s base movepool well due to the increased bulk and great offensive typing, as well as a hugely colorful movepool

Original Pokemon: Samurott
New Pokemon: Samuratt (Samurott + Rat)
Type: Normal / Fighting
Abilities: Scrappy / Justified
Stats: 100 / 110 / 85 / 78 / 70 / 85 {BST: 528}
Weight: 101.1 kg
Movepool Changes:
  • + Bulk Up, Close Combat, Earthquake
  • - All Water moves except Dive, Rain Dance, Surf, and Water Sport, All Ice moves
Height: 5’03
Flavor / Explanation: Capybaras, muskrats, and a couple other rodents are also mammals that like to spend a lot of time in water, so I thought this would make sense in context. Prevos are Osharatt and Deratt (Both are pure Normal), classified as the Bodyguard Pokemon. “It is able to move quickly despite it’s large size, which it regularly uses as it is very protective of its homeland.”
Competitive Role: Somewhat fast, somewhat bulky, hard hitting Scrappy attacker that acts as your general wallbreaker.
might add some more info on these later

This also acts as your 48 hour warning for subs!

Use: Strong No Gaurd user with great coverage and nasty plot. However typing leaves it open to a lot of strong offensive mons, speed is mediocre and bulk is middling.
It is a gorilla that has learned how to control natural disasters / the weather through its psychic powers.

Use: Is an incredibly bulky hazard setter with ok speed but a lot of passivity. Basically just better ferro except a lot more passive.
One day a tornado caused by a Rillabreezy ripped Tod the Infernape’s house out of the ground, flying him to a strange new land with small people who liked to sing about a mustard pathway and a magician with a massive ego. He was injured so they gave him surgery and turned him into a type of tin monkey. Over time he rusted and got covered in vines which caused him to become Inertgrape.
